Making the first beat wasn’t easy but it was our dream

The Racket are a 4 Piece Indie Rock band from Widnes who formed in 2015. Their songs are powerful, energetic and politically charged with a “two finger attitude”. Their success started in 2017 when they began selling out numerous shows across Liverpool and Manchester. Since their electric start they have toured the UK and France with acts such as Louis Berry, Lottery Winners, Cast, Twisted Wheel along with some major festival appearances at This Is Tomorrow, Sound City, Tramlines and The Great Escape.
Recently they have been championed by the likes of Fred Perry Subculture, LAD Bible, BBC Introducing along with a big feature on BBC1 TV. In the last 6 months they have kept fans entertained with exciting live streams and homemade releases.
The band have been busy recording new material and you can expect a lot more new music from them for the rest on 2021!
See The Racket live on tour as the main support for The Lottery Winners across 11 dates in September 2021.

We just want to say a massive genuine thank you to everyone who has helped us in the competition. Yesterday, in one day, our little band reached 100,000’s of people. We had local legends, businesses, athletes, musicians and the press all on our side. Most importantly we had all our fans, mates and families all backing us. Congrats to monadmusic who won, he clearly played the competition different to us, we’d love to know his winning tactics for next time 👀 Once again, a massive thank you to everyone involved and the winner of our merch competition will be announced later today
